Drop-off time (checkin time) is from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on the same day of your reservation. If a multi-day rental is taking place then the snow-machine(s) is/are due back on the final day of rental by 7:00 PM at the latest. Give us a call if you have any questions. We are flexible! You'll need a 2-inch ball and a standard 4-prong (4-way-flat) electrical connector to haul the 1 to 3-place snowmobile trailers. The 4 to 6-place snowmobile trailers will require a 2" ball with trailer breaks through a 7-way round electrical connector. Each snowmobile will usually weigh just less than 500 lbs. Make sure you have a 4-wheel drive vehicle with a towing capacity capable of pulling whatever you rent. We have trailer electrical adapters and 2" balls available for rent if you need them. If you call and book ahead of time, then for an additional cost, we may be able to hook you up with a good rental vehicle(s) capable of pulling what you rented.
Call us if you have questions about hauling the snowmobiles with your vehicle(s). If we plan and coordinate by phone ahead of time, then we can usually move the snowmobiles to the best trailers for your situation before you come.
NOTE: Even 4-wheel drive vehicles will easily get stuck in the snow if you drive off the road. You may want to bring tow/stretch rope with you for this type of activity. You can save yourself when you're stuck or someone who's stuck if you bring tow/stretch rope with you into the mountains.
Delivery Service & Tour Guides:
You may add an optional tour guide or delivery service to your rental at any time. However, when booking a 2-hour rental you're required to pay for the $75 delivery service.
When you add the delivery service to your rental, our driver will usually meet you at one of our preferred snowmobile trailheads in Utah, where he/she will teach you how to operate the snow-machine, give you a short safety training, make sure you and your party feel comfortable riding, and show you where to go.
When you book a tour guide with us, you and your party get a custom personalized snowmobiling experience based on your desires and riding skill level. Our tour guide will usually meet you at one of our preferred snowmobile trailheads in Utah, where he/she will teach you how to operate the snow-machine, give you a short safety training, make sure you and your party feel comfortable riding, show you where to go, and ride with on and off the trails.
Rental Security Deposit:
Before taking the snow-machine(s), a security deposit of $500 per snowmobile is required. You can make this security deposit payment with Venmo, Cash, or a Credit/Debit Card at the time of pick-up. This rental security deposit is held by Peak Adventure Rentals until the snow-machines are brought back to us at the end of the rental. This security deposit will be fully refunded back to you if the equipment is brought back on time, undamaged and full on fuel (ethanol free fuel) at the end of the rental. On the rare occasion that damage does occur, we will calculate and deduct the cost of the repairs from this security deposit, then we will refund the remaining balance back to you.
According to our rental agreement and liability waiver, the renter and all waiver signers are fully responsible for all the damage costs that happen to the snow-machine(s) during the rental. To reduce your rental risks, consider opting into one of our two damage waiver insurance options explained below.
Damage Waiver Insurance Options:
You have the option to add damage waiver insurance to your rental. Our internal "Damage Waiver Insurance" (DWI) is not required, but we strongly recommend it if your current insurance policy does not cover you for rentals like this. If you’re not sure, or you don't know if your current insurance provider covers you for this kind of rental, then we recommend calling your insurance provider to find out.
Realize that even though you're only required to pay a $500 security deposit for each snowmobile you rent, you and all waiver signers are still fully responsible and liable for the costs of all the damages that happen to the snow-machine(s) during your rental. To reduce your rental risks, consider adding one of the following damage waiver options below to your rental.
$1K Deductible Damage Waiver Insurance - $50 per machine per day
Covers you, your party, and all waiver signers for any damages costs that exceed above $1,000. In other words, if you crash the machine or something and the repair costs are a total of $2,600 then you will only be required to pay $1,000 of the total damages. We (Peak Adventure Rentals) will cover the remaining $1,600 ourselves. This $1K damage waiver costs $50 per day, per snowmobile and it may be added to your rental at anytime.
$2.5K Deductible Damage Waiver Insurance - $25 per machine per day
Covers you, your party, and all waiver signers for any damages costs that exceed above $2,500. In other words, if you crash the machine or something and the repair costs are a total of $2,600 then you will be required to pay $2,500 of the total damages. We (Peak Adventure Rentals) will cover the remaining $100 ourselves. This $2.5K damage waiver insurance costs $25 per day, per snowmobile and it may be added to your rental at anytime.
NOTE: Our damage waiver insurance options do NOT cover any injuries, and we're NOT liable for any injuries whatsoever! Basically, it just guarantees that in the rare occasion that damage is done to the rental equipment, then you would not be held liable for any repairs exceeding your deductible amount.

Snowmobile Rules & Guidelines:
- You Beak It You Buy It: During the machine checkout process we always record a video of the snowmobile(s) showing the current condition. You will not ever need to worry about paying for damages that were done by a previous renter. Upon request, we can even send (text or email) you a high quality copy of the recorded video. According to our rental agreement and liability waiver, the renter and waiver signers are fully responsible for all the damage costs that happen to the snow-machine(s) during the rental. To reduce your rental risks, consider opting into one of our two damage waiver insurance options.
- Age Limitations: Renters must be at least 18 years of age. Drivers must be at least 16 years old with a valid drivers license. No one under the age of 16 is permitted to operate the snow-machine without the help of 21 year old adult with a valid drivers license, who has signed the liability waiver, and is sitting behind them on the snow-machine the entire time helping them drive safely.
- Assumption of Risk: We're NOT liable for any injuries whatsoever! Renter acknowledges that this type of activity involves many dangers, including the risk of bodily injury and/or death. Renter assumes and accepts all risks associated with the use of the Craft. Renter also agrees to hold harmless Peak Adventure Rentals and understand that our rental agreement doubles as a hold harmless agreement between renter and Peak Adventure Rentals.
- Snowmobile Fuel Policy: Ethanol FREE Gasoline ONLY! These 2-stroke snowmobiles burn fuel and 2-stroke injection oil at the same time and they should never be filled with regular or premium ethanol gas. You are responsible for paying for the fuel you use, however we include the cost of the snowmobile 2-stroke injection oil in with the total price of the rental.
One day rentals should not ever have to worry about running out of the 2-stroke injection oil. If you rent for more than 1-day, then we'll send you with the right amount of 2-stroke oil needed for the duration of your rental free of charge. Upon pickup, the snowmobiles will be full on fuel. If the snow machines are not returned full on fuel at the end of the rental then for your convenience, we'll fill them up at a gas station near by, then we'll deduct the cost of the fuel from your security deposit and text you a photo of the receipt.
Snowmobiles have a fuel tank capacity of about 9 gallons of gas, most renters can ride their snowmobile for a least a day before needing to add more fuel to the snow-machine. Depending on how fast and how long you drive your snowmobile you shouldn't need any extra gas cans if you're only renting for one day. We have extra empty 5-gallon gas cans available for rent for $5 each.
