Putting on a mermaid tail transforms your relationship with the underwater world. Experience the fun, creativity, and magic that comes with being a mermaid or merman.
The PADI Mermaid Course Upgrade is Part Two of becoming a certified Mermaid. In this class, you'll hone your finning techniques during more advanced dynamic swims with a mermaid tail. You'll practice traveling at least 80ft underwater using a dolphin kick and develop your skills for artistic turns underwater. You'll also explore mermaid tricks such as underwater bubbles, the mermaid kiss, and the mermaid handshake. Throughout the course, Mermaid safety will be strengthened, along with proper buddy procedures.
Mermaid upgrade students will complete the PADI Basic Mermaid to Mermaid Upgrade eLearning ahead of their class session. After a review of the academic material, you'll head to the pool or pool-like open water site, where you'll practice the art of Mermaiding.
To take the PADI Mermaid Upgrade course, participants should be comfortable in the water and able to swim without swim aids. You must be at least 10 years old and have the Basic Mermaid Certification to take this course.
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
I understand and agree to the following policies:
Cancellation: Students who cancel up to 72 hours before the start of their course will receive a 50% refund of course fees. Students who cancel less than 72 hours before the start of the course will receive no refund.
Rescheduling: Students may reschedule their class for a $100 rescheduling fee, which will be processed each time a course or portion of a course is rescheduled.
Operator Cancelation: If the operator must cancel due to weather, poor water conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances, activities may be rescheduled to a new date for no fee, or canceled with a refund of all class fees less the cost of the eLearning and any training that has already been completed.
