Capitol Reef National Park has many beautiful trails to hike with varied levels of difficulty for all abilities and fitness levels. Relax, enjoy and let your guide show you some of the best trails, scenery and photo opportunities in the park. Learn about the geology, Native Americans, early explorers and pioneer history of the area as well as some of the plants and animals that inhabit the park.
Choose from arches and bridges, ridges, washes and creeks. Breathtaking views and narrow slot canyons await. If you want to get to some of the more remote hikes in the park, we can do that!
Early morning and evening time are some of the most peaceful times in the park. If you prefer an early or late start, we can do that, it also makes for better photos!
Please let us know if you have anything particular in mind and we will do our best to accommodate your wishes. These are some of the most popular hikes in the park but certainly not all of them.
Easy Hikes:
Grand Wash, Capitol Gorge, Pleasant Creek (shallow stream crossings)
Moderate Hikes:
Hickman Bridge, Cassidy Arch, Cohab Canyon, Sulphur Creek
Difficult Hikes:
Upper Muley Twist, Rim Overlook, Navajo Knobs

We take your credit card information at the time of the reservation to uphold the cancellation policy. We are a small company and turn away others to hold the space for you. We reserve the space for you and you in turn agree to pay for the tour. There will be no charge if we are advised of the cancellation at least eight days prior to the trip, as we are generally able to resell your space to others.
Within 7 days of the trip: We will make our best effort to resell your space to others, however, if we’re unable to do so, you will be charged as though you are on the tour. This includes canceling for last minute medical emergencies.
If you do not show up on the day of your tour: Because we turn away others to hold the space for you and guides are prearranged based on your being on the trip, these costs cannot be recouped and therefore, you will be charged as though you are on the tour. This includes canceling for last minute medical emergencies.

Due to hazardous weather or environmental conditions such as mud, rain, snow, lightning, flash flooding, we reserve the right to alter the route or substitute an alternate route or cancel the trip. We will make every effort to keep you safe and re-book your trip if needed. We want you to be safe and have an enjoyable and memorable experience.
