Join a guided Studio Tour to discover the secrets behind some of America's best-known monuments! Join our passionate guides on a journey through Daniel Chester French's most iconic works of art, exploring the sculptures that helped shape an American identity and the many hands that helped to bring them into existence.
The Studio boasts a 28 foot high ceiling with a reception room, casting room, workspace and unique railroad track system to view works in natural light. Today it is filled with hundreds of French's plaster models and tools, including the original 6' model for the famous Lincoln Memorial statue. See for yourself why French chose this particular spot for his studio when you step outside to take in the view of the Berkshire mountains from the piazza.
Site Admission tickets required. Guided tours are an optional add-on to enhance your Chesterwood visit.

Cancellation Policy
We understand that unforeseen situations arise! If you would like to move your ticket to another day or time, please call the Admissions Desk at 413.298.2023 where a Visitor Services Associate can help re-book your ticket. If you are unable to rebook we will issue a 100% refund, given at least 24 hour advance notice. If less than 24 hours, you will be issued a 50% refund.
Another option: please consider donating your ticket back to Chesterwood so we can give it to a student or intern!
Please note our Admissions team is available Thursday-Monday 10am - 5pm, from May 25 to October 21, 2024. If you can't reach someone, please leave a voicemail in our general mailbox and someone will follow up with you.
