Looking for a relaxed day tour from Nagano that mixes history with a hands-on local experience? This small-group tour takes you to Matsushiro—Nagano’s best-preserved samurai town—then finishes in the countryside with seasonal fruit picking in Chikuma.

In Matsushiro, you’ll walk through a former castle town connected to the legendary Sanada clan, visiting key sites like the castle ruins, the Sanada Treasure Museum, a samurai residence, and the Bunbu School where samurai trained in both scholarship and martial discipline. After the samurai town visit, we’ll stop at Oyaki Farm Matsushiro for scenic terrace views and factory viewing (oyaki available to purchase), before heading to Chikuma Aguri Park for fruit picking—an easy, refreshing way to end the day.
