PRIVATE CHARTER CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a private charter. The deposit secures the customer’s selected charter date and time and removes that charter period from String of Pearls Charter Company’s availability.

ALL PRIVATE CHARTER DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

Once a private charter deposit has been paid, it will not be refunded for any reason. This includes, but is not limited to, customer cancellation, change of plans, illness, death, travel delays, transportation issues, missed flights, weather concerns, mechanical conditions, safety concerns, acts of God, or any other circumstance that prevents, delays, cancels, postpones, modifies, or reschedules the charter.

Customers may not cancel a private charter based on their own assessment of the weather, sea conditions, mechanical conditions, or safety conditions and receive a refund. All decisions regarding whether a charter can operate safely and appropriately are made solely by String of Pearls Charter Company and the vessel’s captain.

If String of Pearls Charter Company determines that weather, mechanical conditions, safety concerns, operational concerns, or any other circumstance make it unsafe, impractical, or inappropriate to operate the charter as scheduled, String of Pearls may cancel, postpone, reschedule, delay, or modify the charter at its sole discretion. In that event, the non-refundable deposit will remain available as a credit toward a future private charter, but the deposit will not be refunded.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the remaining charter balance is due two weeks before the scheduled charter. String of Pearls Charter Company reserves the right to charge the remaining balance to the card on file two weeks before the charter or on the day of the charter.

Customer cancellation within two weeks of the scheduled charter does not relieve the customer of the obligation to pay the remaining charter balance. No-shows, missed departures, and customers who fail or decline to participate in a charter that is operating as scheduled will be responsible for the full charter price.

Credit card payments may include booking fees, payment-processing fees, service fees, platform fees, convenience fees, or other third-party or administrative fees. These fees are strictly non-refundable. They are not retained by String of Pearls Charter Company as charter revenue. Any refund or credit issued by String of Pearls applies only to an eligible charter amount and excludes all non-refundable fees.

Customers who pay by cash, Venmo, or check may avoid credit card booking and processing fees. To arrange payment by one of these methods, customers must contact Captain Matt at 912-357-3624 before completing the online booking.

A mandatory Crew Service Charge applies to all private charters and is included in the total charter cost. This charge supports crew compensation, onboard service, vessel preparation, equipment use, and other operational expenses required to deliver the charter experience.

Because private charter deposits are non-refundable, trip or event cancellation insurance is strongly recommended. Customers are responsible for purchasing any travel, trip, event, or cancellation insurance they may want. Customers should obtain insurance before booking if they want protection against cancellation, illness, weather, travel interruption, or other unexpected events.

BY COMPLETING A PRIVATE CHARTER BOOKING, THE CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES THAT THE PRIVATE CHARTER DEPOSIT IS NON-REFUNDABLE AND THAT NO REFUND OF THE DEPOSIT WILL BE ISSUED FOR ANY REASON.
