**Please note:** TIME CAN GO OVER!
Our dogs are not machines and we do go at their pace. Weather and trail conditions can impact our tour time. Please allow plenty of cushion time between activities or flights. If you have transportation needs, please text us.Come and learn what it is like to be a real musher! Our packages will teach you all about our amazing sport, give you lots of time to love on the dogs, go for a thrilling ride where you can help drive the sled, and most importantly, show why we love our pups so much. Our guides will lead you through our thrilling course as you get the opportunity to experience a truly authentic mushing adventure. Our goal is education first, and to inspire you along the way. Our pups love to share their passion with you, they are not circus animals and as such, we believe in helping the dogs throughout the course, just as a real musher would. Our sledding tours are designed to keep our dogs stress free and happy. This is a physical activity and with that, hiking/pushing/walking is involved during some portions of the trail, and we will require your participation when driving the sled. Children are welcome to ride in the basket. Our tours can be a workout for drivers, but these are truly authentic and thrilling. Drivers are welcome to switch off between sitting and driving. If you are looking for a tour where you sit and the dogs slave away and do all the work, these tours are not for you. Each package can take from 90 minutes to 120 minutes. *booking calendar is by sleds not per person* You MUST make a reservation for each sled! If you only make one reservation, you will only have one sled)
***Good for all ages, but usually recommend ages 3+***
see below for additional guest booking requirements
This unique experience is designed to take you deeper into the world of sled dogs. Our tours will take place at our ranch, year round. Our Guests will also get a kennel tour, presentation, play time with the dogs, and the ride. THIS IS A PHYSICAL ACTIVITY! You will get to drive the sled with the musher, and with that, hiking/pushing/walking is involved during some portions of the trail. Children are welcome to sit in the basket. This tour is great for all families. Drivers can switch between sitting and driving. Children are welcome to take a turn driving as well, and is a lot of fun for them too. Our pups are not circus animals though, we don’t expect them to do all the work. We will be going at their pace. Refunds and discounts will not be offered due to guest participation with trail hiking /pushing /walking. In some parts our trail does climb up a hill and then will also have a very exciting downhill. We have tandem sleds, so one person can sit, and the other will drive with a musher. We can fit 2 people per sled and have a 375 lbs. total guest passenger weight limit. If you can meet the weight limit with three guests (strict weight limit applies with three guests, usually a combo of adults and children are the only ones that will be allowed) on one sled, we can add on a third guest for an additional $50.00 rider fee.
Staying Warm
Feet are the first thing to get cold and can become very uncomfortable. If your feet get cold, it can make the day miserable. Make sure you check the temperature rating before you buy your boots. The temperature can get into the negatives or single digits. You will be standing for a good portion of the tour, and that lack of movement can allow your feet to get cold fast. There are several great boots on the market. Uggs are good for dry snow and can keep decently warm with good thick or double layer socks. Muck Boots are great for wet snow or any snow conditions with thick socks. The best boot you can buy, and will last you for years to come, are by Steger Mukluks, available online. Buy early, they sell out fast, but are SO worth it!!!
Trail Conditions
If you are making a reservation for early season (before Christmas) or end of February through end of March, there is a chance trail conditons may prevent tour ability. Please be aware that options and availability may change for those times of year. There is a chance we may have to cancel due to poor conditions. We do our best to get every reservation out. But weather can change what we can do. Dog safety and happiness is first for us.
More information
Book by sled (includes 2 people). If your have a third rider that can fit within the limit of 375 lbs of passenger weight, add add third rider for corresponding time slot. Limit is one third rider per sled. Rider must be age 10 or under.
What to Bring
Dress in waterproof gear you can move around in. Bring a warm jack and wear layers to be ready for warmer days and frigid days. Bring a water bottle if you'd like that while hiking. Bring your camera for amazing photos!
**Please note that if you are signed up for a dog sled experience or another snow adventure, there is a chance we may not have have enough snow or enough good snow to run a sled or to use snowshoes for snowshoe tours. With that in mind, IF we are able to do our dry land option (Dog Sled Safari, or pack walk), we will still get you out on a ride/tour either way. It will be your responsibility to cancel before our 72 hour cancelation window if you wish not to proceed with the safari or pack walk. After that time, if we can get you out for a ride or pack walk, we will charge for the tour we can offer. We will adjust our pricing to reflect our safari or pack walk option. It will be your responsibility to check on trail conditions before the 72 hour time period. We will only notify you of changes if we cannot get you out on any of our rides or tours due to weather or trail conditions, as which time we will not charge if we need to cancel. We also have a 7 day cancelation rule for tours. If you wish to cancel a ride/tour, we can still provide our Rescued, Inspirational Kennel Tour. 7 days before your scheduled tour, we will require a non-refundable kennel tour payment per person if you choose to cancel your tour. Our experiences are centered around a powerful presentation, and as such, we encourage all guests to participate even if they wish to cancel the ride/hike. Remember, it will be your responsibility to cancel your tour before 7 days if you wish to cancel entirely, and to cancel 72 hours before your ride to only be charged for a kennel tour. Keep in mind, if there is not a foot of snow or more in town (Not on the ski hills, meaning actual streets around town), there is most likely not enough snow on our trails. Our tours are how we ensure the very best care and facilities for our amazing pack, and with this in mind, we do take great considerations when structuring our cancelation policies. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. We also thank you deeply for reserving a tour with our pack. We promise, if your heart and mind is open to the possibilities of “More Than Just A Ride”, you will be left with a lasting memory and deeply impactful experience with any of our tour options. Thank you!**

Please ensure funds are available on the card provided. **No refunds will be provided after payments have been processed, regardless of tour participation or expectations. No refunds will be given for no shows, flight delays, or any other complications. It is the guest’s responsibility to make reservations and any changes with these conditions in mind and while also recognizing the agreement to our 72 hour ride cancellation and 7 day Kennel Tour cancellation policy.*
By making a reservation with Rancho Luna Lobos, I understand that the DEPOSIT WILL BE NONREFUNDABLE regardless of cancellation by guest or by Rancho Luna Lobos. All sales are final, which is why I understand the company asks me not to pay the full balance until the day of the tour (if I do pay the full balance ahead of the tour date, there will be no refunds or prices changes regardless of tour changes/tour price deductions/or cancellation). I also understand that if I cancel my tour even before the cancelation policy period, I will not get my deposit back.

Tours & Activities:
-This is an all outdoor activity. You will need to be dressed appropriately to be outside. Be aware of the season and activity you are booking and dress for the weather. Winter activities can be very cold, and **you will need to wear layers**. Summer activities can be hot and the trails can be dusty. Please wear clothing you do not mind getting dirty. This is not a dress to be glamorous activity. **No refunds will be given for guests that decide to opt out due to inappropriate clothing.**
- You are welcome to bring a water bottle and snack if you need it.
- It is important to remember that this tour does involve interactions with live animals. Our dogs are all trained and are very sweet. We know them as well as we do our own children. They may be dogs, but they do have feelings and emotions that very valued here. We are firm believers that our dogs should be happy first. You are coming to participate in activity that is designed to keep our dogs happy by getting to do something that they love and they allow you to be a part of it for a moment. We go at their pace and allow them to express what they want and need. With that, we ask for your patience and understanding while on tour with our pups. These are living creatures, not robots, so please allow for variables. There may also be moments where the sled needs to be adjusted, and our crew may ask you to get out of the sled for a moment. Please be patient and understand, it is all part of the deal. We ask you to have a good attitude and positive energy, as our dogs do feed off of your emotions as well. We want nothing but a positive environment for our dogs. Remember, you are signing up for an activity with live animals, as with that, we expect you to have respect, patience, kindness, and love towards them at all times.
- We do take weather very seriously. If conditions are not safe for our dogs, staff, or guests, we may need to adjust what we can offer (pricing will also adjust to what we can offer). Weather conditions can change by the hour and even half hour. If you arrive and what we can offer has changed or has even changed during your tour, we ask for your understanding a patience. **Safety must always come first! Again our dogs are not machines nor circus animals.** If we are only able to offer a kennel tour, we will adjust your tour and pricing to reflect that. We always will do our best to provide what you have scheduled, but with our mountainous trails, conditions and safety will always come first.
- Please come with an understanding that our goal is to inspire you first. Our tours are not focused around the ride, that is just a bonus. We aim to educate and encourage everyone while illustrating some of the amazing stories of our dogs and how they inspire. If you are only interested in a ride, this may not be the tour for you. But if you do have an open mind, we are confident that our pups will leave you feeling encouraged and ready to chase after your dreams.
- We look forward to meeting you soon!!
- Please remember that we do have a 72 hour cancellation policy for rides that you agreed to when booking and a 7 day total tour cancellation policy (If you cancel your tour after the 7 day period, you will be charged a Kennel Tour charge per passenger). If you do not cancel before that time, you will be charged for your tour regardless of travel circumstances, sickness, changes in itinerary, etc. Please visit our Terms of Conditions to read our full policy at [lunalobos.com/terms-of-service-and-conditions](lunalobos.com/terms-of-service-and-conditions)
- Please text 435-714-0411 if you need to cancel.
