Casa Particular

A Casa Particular (“special house”) is a privately run house especially for tourists, very similar to a bed and breakfast.
Accommodation is in rooms with one or more beds, mostly with a private bathroom.
It is not uncommon for you to be housed in spacious colonial mansions with high ceilings and pillars, and to relax in green courtyards or enjoy breathtaking views of the surroundings from balconies.
