Become a Scuba Instructor and Live Your Passion
Start today - You need to be a Divemaster or equivalent to join SSI´s 3-Step Instructor Training Approach. The training process starts with the Assistant Instructor Course where you learn how to teach using the SSI Total Teaching System. After you have finished this step you can get experience teaching as an Assistant Instructor gaining valuable experience while assisting under the guidance of an Open Water Instructor or you can immediately begin the Instructor Training Course. Both the Assistant Instructor Course and the Instructor Training Course combine exceptional in-person training with quality Digital Learning. After successful completion of the Instructor Training Course (ITC) you will enroll in an Instructor Evaluation (IE) to qualify as an SSI Open Water Instructor. This training program entitles you to teach various key SSI programs independently like Scuba Diver, Open Water Diver, Enriched Air Nitrox, Diver Stress & Rescue and Dive Guide.
Specialty Instructor / Divemaster Instructor
As an Open Water Instructor you can qualify to become a Specialty Instructor and start teaching the SSI specialties. Once you have become a Deep Diving, Night and Limited Visibility, Navigation, Dive Guide and Stress & Rescue instructor and taught 25 courses you will automatically qualify for the Divemaster Instructor rating. After this you can help Divemaster trainees achieve their Divemaster status. With this bundle you will receive the Specialty Instructor Courses to help you achieve this rating.

We take the time to thoroughly train you so you can succeed at your Instructor Exam and as a new SSI Open Water Instructor.
- Assistant Instructor Course - 6 Day Schedule: Full Days
- Instructor Training Course - 5 Day Schedule: Full Days
- 3 SSI Specialty Instructor Courses - 2 day Schedule
- Additional training days will incur a $100/day fee.
PREREQUISITES NOT INCLUDED:
- Divemaster Certification
- Logged Dives to qualify for the Assistant Instructor / Instructor Training Course
- Enriched Air Nitrox 40 Certification
- Internship to gain the required amount of certifications to qualify for the Divemaster Instructor Rating

- Instructor Evaluation Fee - $500. (This will be invoice to your SSI Professional account directly from SSI)

Cancellation Policy
Scheduled Divers:
- Failure to arrive Scheduled time will result in No-Show cancellation.
- Failure to Provide Proper Certification information may result in cancellation if proof cannot be found within the scheduled timeframe.
- Failure to prove self-sufficiency prior to dives (gear setup) may result in cancellation of dives due to lack of necessary beginner skills, this is up to the discretion of our Dive Center Manager.
Tank'd Pro Dive Center Utila is known for providing the uppermost customer service in Utila and ensuring each diver is kept as safe as possible. If any of the above criteria is met, we will be forced to cancel your dives, resulting in a zero refund policy as you have taken the space for another possible diver to join. No-Shows for scheduled dives will also be considered cancellations and no refunds will be processed.
