Narai-juku & Wasabi Grating Lunch: Matsumoto Start

Approx. 6.25-hour tour from Matsumoto Station.

Enjoy a relaxed day trip combining Narai-juku, one of Japan’s best-preserved Nakasendo post towns, with a hands-on wasabi grating lunch at Daio Wasabi Farm.

Walk through the historic wooden streets of Narai-juku with your English-speaking guide, then enjoy free time to browse small shops, take photos, or try local snacks at your own pace.

After Narai-juku, head to Daio Wasabi Farm for a proper lunch experience where you grate fresh wasabi yourself. After lunch, enjoy a short stroll around the clear-water canals and waterwheels before returning toward Matsumoto.

• Matsumoto Station – 9:45 AM : Outside the Alps (West) Exit – look for our light yellow Toyota van.
• Nagano Station – 8:45 AM : In front of Beck’s Coffee (inside station, just outside the Shinkansen gates) .
