The Extended Range Gas Blender Course (Tec Gas Blender) teaches the skills and concepts required to safely blend nitrox and helium-based trimix blends for mixed-gas diving. This is a non-diving program that is open to certified and uncertified divers, and teaches the mathematics, physics and techniques required to safely blend breathing gases.

The SSI Gas Blender program provides students with the ability to blend nitrox and helium-based trimix blends.
There are two possible certifications for this program:

Nitrox Gas Blender
Trimix Gas Blender

Prerequisites:

Minimum Age: 18.
Certification Prerequisites: None.
Academic Sessions: Online learning and practical session.
Pool/Confined Water Sessions: Not required.
Open Water Dives: Not required.

Notes:

Nitrox and Trimix Gases Sold Separately

Upon Completion you will be certified as either:

Nitrox Gas Blender certification. Entitles the holder to blend nitrox-based gases.
Trimix Gas Blender certification. Entitles the holder to blend nitrox- and helium-based trimix gases.

Cancellation Policy

Scheduled Divers:

Failure to arrive Scheduled time will result in No-Show cancellation.
Failure to Provide Proper Certification information may result in cancellation if proof cannot be found within the scheduled timeframe.
Failure to prove self-sufficiency prior to dives (gear setup) may result in cancellation of dives due to lack of necessary beginner skills, this is up to the discretion of our Dive Center Manager.

Tank'd Pro Dive Center Utila is known for providing the uppermost customer service in Utila and ensuring each diver is kept as safe as possible. If any of the above criteria is met, we will be forced to cancel your dives, resulting in a zero refund policy as you have taken the space for another possible diver to join. No-Shows for scheduled dives will also be considered cancellations and no refunds will be processed.
