Home of Hop
The Hallertau hop region is known as the largest continuous hop-growing area in the world and is located on the border between Upper Bavaria and Lower Bavaria, so to speak. Travelling to the Hallertau does not have to be an adventurer. But you can be prepared for surprises when you visit this hilly landscape in the centre of Bavaria. In any case, the Holledau, as the people there affectionately call their home, is a paradise, especially in summer. Then the large green hop gardens dominate the landscape. In winter, the tobogganing, cross-country skiing and walking trails are ideal for pure outdoor relaxation.
