In this workshop, ButterHog Forge will help you forge your own high carbon hunting knife. You control the shape of the blade whether you want a classic drop point hunter or a razor sharp skinning knife, you will leave with a beautiful work of art. We will forge, heat treat, grind and add a wooden handle with your choice of pin color. This hunting knife forging workshop takes approximately 8 hours to complete. You can also split the workshop up over the course of multiple sessions at no additional cost. No experience is necessary, however you do need some strength to wield the hammer (similar to driving a nail into a board). This is a one-on-one workshop unless you bring family and friends. Max of 2 participants. We will use whatever dense or stabilized wood I have on hand or you may supply your own handle material. These are full tang knives, NO HIDDEN TANGS OR KNIVES WITH GUARDS.

Please wear long pants and closed toe shoes! No shorts or sandals!
