Description
Share the fun of being a Mermaid with others when you become a PADI Mermaid Instructor! As a Mermaid Instructor, you'll be able to teach the full PADI Suite of Mermaid Courses and Experiences. You can introduce mermaids to their first experience in a tail through a Discover Mermaid Experience, teach divers their first Mermaid Certification or help experienced Mermaids level up their skills in the Advanced Mermaid Class. The Instructor course includes a review of Mermaid skills, the PADI system of teaching, and lots of experience teaching mock students how to rock a mermaid tail!
To take your Mermaid Instructor Course, you'll need to meet the following prerequisites:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be PADI Advanced Mermaid (or equivalent)
- Have a current Emergency First Responder certification (or equivalent Primary/Secondary Care within 24 months)
- Have a valid Diving Medical Form signed by a physician within the last 12 months

Booking Notes
Please read the details below in their entirety as they contain important information about your class.
Diver Medical Form All PADI Mermaid Instructor Candidates must complete the Medical Form linked below before class. Because this is a PADI professional level course, you must get a physician's approval and signature on page 3 of the form (regardless of your answers on Pages 1-2). Make sure that the doctor completes their section in full, and that the date is filled out in the specified DAY-MONTH-YEAR form. If someone other than an MD or DO is completing the form (like an RN or PA), you must get the facility stamp in order for the form to be accepted.
Required Gear: All PADI Mermaid Instructor Candidates will need the following for use during the course: mask, snorkel, fins, mermaid monofin, mermaid tail, weight belt, weights (if necessary)
If you will need to rent gear, your instructor trainer will coordinate with you before the course. Please Note: Rental gear is not included in the course fee, and will be due at the time of rental.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
I understand and agree to the following policies:
Cancellation: Course deposits are non-refundable. For students who have paid in full at the time of booking and cancel up to 72 hours before the start of their course will receive a 50% refund of total course fees. Students who cancel less than 72 hours before the start of the course will be accountable for all course fees and no refunds will be issued.
Rescheduling: Students may reschedule their class for a $100 rescheduling fee, which will be processed each time a course or portion of a course is rescheduled.
Operator Cancelation: If the operator must cancel due to weather, poor water conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances, activities may be rescheduled to a new date for no fee, or canceled with a refund of all class fees less the cost of the eLearning and any training that has already been completed.
