Description

The route of an old red-brick highway constructed in 1921, the Old Brick Road Trail provides over five miles of trail for land paddling and pedestrians on the eastern outskirts of Milton, Florida. While the brick surface might make for a bit of a bumpy ride, smoother concrete frames both sides of the historic roadway to give cyclists an easier time.

The trail begins off of Highway 90, just past a section of the brick roadway that still allows vehicular traffic, and continues eastward, paralleling the highway and the adjacent CSX railroad tracks. Expect only intermittent shade from the Florida sun along the route, as the trail makes its way through rural forests of longleaf pine, coming to an end along the highway where a dirt road crosses the railroad tracks.
