Description
The best snorkeling here in Culebra is right off the beaches - no tour required! So stop by the shop, grab some snorkel gear, let us mark a map for you, and off you go to look for turtles or just have fun in the sun – we make it easy – no tour required and this is your BEST chance to see the turtles!
However, if you've had your fill of Culebra's easily accessible beaches and want to explore some of the more remote areas around Culebra (e.g. Carlos Rosario or Luis Peña Island) then sign up for our boat tour here.
If you are not a comfortable swimmer and/or do not have previous snorkeling experience, we do not recommend signing up for the boat tour. Instead, we encourage you to rent gear and let us mark a map for you for the best introductory experience. You will be exiting the boat into deep water with typically no access to land; therefore, Culebra Divers requires that you be a comfortable swimmer (without assistance) prior to signing up for one of our boat tours.
- We are sorry but we do not give swimming lessons. The ability to swim unassisted is required and previous snorkeling experience is strongly recommended
- Turtle sightings are NOT guaranteed. Snorkeling off of the shore of Tamarindo Beach on your own is your best chance to see the turtles
The site(s) will be chosen according to weather and sea conditions. Our goal is to have you snorkel in calm protected water so you can fully enjoy watching the life on the busy reefs. On board we’ll have plenty of water and snacks (please exercise caution if you have any food allergies). Wear a bathing suit, bring a towel if you like and reef safe sunscreen – we’ll provide the rest! We have towels and reef safe sunscreen for purchase in our dive shop if you forget yours!
**All afternoon tours are conducted off of one boat so in booking this tour you may also be certified and non-certified divers.
The boat departs the dock at 2:00PM (your arrival time 1:30pm) and returns at approximately 4-4:30pm.

Kids 6-12 yrs old: For safety and liability purposes we require a parent/guardian per child (not including our staff) on board. The parent/guardian will supervise the child at all times both in and out of the water and is required to stay with the child (children cannot be left unattended on the boat or in the water).

Getting Here
Please keep in mind before booking: The flights from Culebra to the main island are low altitude flights; however, the experts at DAN still recommend 12 hours after a single dive and at least 18 hours after multiple dives or multiple days of diving.
For this reason and to avoid schedule conflicts impacting your tour (or that of others on the boat), we ask that you not book flights or the ferry immediately post the tour. Exact return times are not guaranteed.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations: Cancellations are requested via speaking to us over the phone, leaving a voicemail to 787-742-0803, or email to contact@culebradivers.com within the following parameters:
- Day of Reservation: No Call / No Show = No Refund
- Single day or multi-day packages: request must be received 24-hours prior to your tour time to be eligible for a refund
- Private Charters: request must be received 7 days prior to your tour time to be eligible for a refund

Cancellations during the HOLIDAYS (NOV 21 – 28; DEC 20 - JAN 10):
- Single day or multi-day packages: request must be received 72-hours prior to your tour time to be eligible for a refund
- Private Charters: request must be received 7 days prior to your tour time to be eligible for a refund

We caution against same day transportation plans close to your tour time as the ferry or flights can be delayed. Should transportation issues result in a customer’s inability to arrive in time for their tour, no refund is available.
Divers: You must provide proof of certification, or you will be charged for the missed dive(s) if we cannot reschedule you or if you opt to back out of the dive(s). Certain waivers have medical questions that require a physician's approval. If this applies to you, & you wait until the day of your tour to review these questions and are unable to dive, no refund is available.
