Private PADI Discover Scuba Diving Course (1 - 4 people). Cost: $700 USD.

Enjoy learning to dive at your own pace with your own PADI instructor, your own boat with your own boat captain. Away from the crowds.

This course includes:

30 minutes of scuba diving theory

1 x shallow water training dive to learn how to breathe underwater using scuba gear, correct your buoyancy and basic skills such as regulator clearing, regulator recovery and mask clearing.

Once you are comfortable with the scuba gear underwater, we will go out on the boat and make 2 x open water dives to two of the most popular dive spots in Isla Mujeres.

Dive 1: MUSA (The Underwater Museum). 26ft / 8m deep.

Dive 2: Coral reef dive at Manchones. 30ft / 8m deep.

On these open water dives you will descend and ascend down a rope with your instructor by your side and at your own pace.

The private PADI Discover Scuba Diving Course is perfect for families with children or teenagers, for couples, and groups of friends who would like to experience scuba diving for the first time. It is very helpful in giving confidence to those who aren't strong swimmers, or who have any nervousness around water or boats. And of course anyone who would like a quieter and calmer diving experience.

The tour can start at either 8am, 12 noon or 2pm. The tour will last approx 4 hours and you will have your own PADI dive instructor, a boat captain and the boat all to yourselves. Cold water and soft drinks are supplied.

Please note: children need to be 10 years and above to do this activity.

Deposit to reserve the date/time for activity: $100 USD per group. Balance of payment is due on day of the booked activity in Isla Mujeres, before the start of the activity. Payment can be made in person in cash (USD or MX Pesos or with credit card).

16% charge on all cancellations to cover bank charges.

Cancellation with minimum 7 days notice:

Full refund of deposit and payment (minus 16% charge).

Cancellation with less than 7 days notice:

Your deposit and payment will not be refunded. Booking can be rescheduled to a later date.

Cancellation with no notice:

No refunds.

Carey Dive Center reserves the right to cancel due to bad weather conditions and will reschedule trips at an agreed date and time. If reschedule is not possible then a full refund will apply (minus 16% charge).

Cancellations due to medical reasons need to be accompanied with a doctor’s letter and will receive a refund of deposit and payment (minus 16% charge).

Once customers have boarded our boats, no refunds will be given.
