Scuba Dive with Sea Turtles

$110 USD per person

Location

Meet at Carey Dive Center

Description

Every year from May until the end of June, Carey Dive Center can take experienced scuba divers to the South Point of Isla Mujeres to see the large number of loggerhead turtles who congregate there to mate. It's the best time of year to see turtles in large groups and it's especially good for those keen on underwater photography.

This is a drift dive that starts at 12ft of water just before the South Point, then you will drift down to 48ft at the very end of the South Point where divers can see remains of old ship wrecks, such as anchors and cannons, plus large barracuda and big groups of fish. And of course, huge groups of turtles mating.

Includes: 2 dives (one deep drift dive with the turtles at the South Point and one shallow reef dive at Manchones). Bottle of water. National Marine park fee. Tank and weights.

Dive gear rental $20USD

Notes/Additional information: 15 years old and over. Requirements: PADI Advanced Open Water Diver. These trips are subject to good weather conditions and a minimum of three divers.

Minimum of 2 people per booking. If you would like to book for only 1 person, please email Carey Dive Center direct for availability at info@careydivecenter.com
