A private trip to some of the more interesting viewpoints of Hanksville and Cainville Utah. This area is adjacent to the Capitol Reef National Park. These places are hot! People from around the world are just now talking about these places.
The tour starts with the Moonscape Overlook also known as the Skyline Ridge. This area is amazing for photography (Drones are permitted).
Our next destination is the famous Long Dong Silver (Mancos Spire) This site requires an easy 2 mile round trip stroll through the remnants of an ancient seabed to an amazing spire jutting out of the desert floor.
Last but not least, a short drive to the Hanksville Bentonite Hills. To access this site, we drive by the private Mars Research Center and enter a geological marvel known as the Blue Eye. We take a small walk up a hill to be able to marvel at unbelievable colors that nature has left in the geological time machine.
