Currents of Culture: A Tennessee River Tour

Join National Park Partners and The H2O Life for a one-of-a-kind boating experience, featuring the area's history and heritage.

Location

Cameron Harbor, Downtown Chattanooga

Description

Currents of Culture: A Tennessee River Journey offers an historical experience from aboard one of The H2O Life's luxury pontoon boats.

While on the water, we'll be guided by local historian and National Park Partners' education and community engagement specialist, Jennifer Crutchfield.

Join us as we learn and reflect on the powerful legacy of Jacob Cummings, a formerly enslaved Black man who navigated these very waters on his journey to freedom.

As well, we'll explore the deep, layered history of Moccasin Bend—land long inhabited by Indigenous peoples and shaped by generations of cultural exchange, struggle, and resilience.

The H2O Life Cancellation/Refund Policy

The H2O Life does understand that life happens. It happens to us all. In the event you are unable to attend an event, please reach out so that we can discuss.

As for our standard policies, please see below:

Same Day Excursions:

The H2O Life does not offer refunds for our traditional same day excursions like hiking and paddling. The H2O Life reserves the right to cancel and reschedule these events should minimum numbers not be reached or should weather become a factor.

In the case of an H2O Life cancellation, options to reschedule will be made available.

Multi-Day/Overnight Excursions:

Due to the nature of these types of excursions, The H2O Life is unable to offer full refunds at this time.

However, we are willing to transfer the purchase to another party or reserve a space at the next, comparable event should you not be able to attend. Please contact us directly for those details.

As always, we will be as flexible as possible.
