Description
This program gives you the skills and experience required to safely lead groups of certified divers, and is the first step towards an exciting career as an SSI Dive Professional without requiring you to complete an instructor program. Professional Dive Guides can work for SSI Dive Centers, guiding dives in a variety of environments and conditions. You will earn the SSI Dive Guide certification after completing this program.
This course is offered at both the Non-Professional level and the Professional level. As a non-professional dive guide you will be certified to lead family and friends but not work as a dive guide. The professional level enables you to work as a dive professional leading certified divers from around the world. Once certified as a professional dive guide, you can also qualify to teach the SSI Ecology Courses. (no free accommodations are included with this specialty course)
Requirements:
Must be at least 15 Years old.
Have logged 40 Dives, Including 5 Deep Dives (Deeper than 30m) / 5 Navigation Dives / 5 Night & Limited Visibility Dives
Must Have the Following Certifications:
Diver Stress & Rescue
Cancellation Policy
Scheduled Divers:
- Failure to arrive Scheduled time will result in No-Show cancellation.
- Failure to Provide Proper Certification information may result in cancellation if proof cannot be found within the scheduled timeframe.
- Failure to prove self-sufficiency prior to dives (gear setup) may result in cancellation of dives due to lack of necessary beginner skills, this is up to the discretion of our Dive Center Manager.
Tank'd Pro Dive Center Utila is known for providing the uppermost customer service in Utila and ensuring each diver is kept as safe as possible. If any of the above criteria is met, we will be forced to cancel your dives, resulting in a zero refund policy as you have taken the space for another possible diver to join. No-Shows for scheduled dives will also be considered cancellations and no refunds will be processed.
