About

Our presentation will inspire you to overcome in even your darkest moments and to live your best life. Through the stories of our amazing dogs, we hope that you will be encouraged and filled with a new sense of hope, passion, and determination. These tours are very hands on with the dogs. You will be surrounded by our loving and friendly pack. We also have puppies from time to time, and you may get the chance to meet the newest members of the pack. Come be inspired with our pack, and let them help to make this an unforgettable family experience.

*This tour is an all outdoor mountain activity. Weather can change fast at the ranch. Please dress appropriately for the season you are visiting.

What to Bring 

Please have layered clothing available.
Closed toe shoes to walk on dirt trails.
Clothes you do not mind the dog jumping up to say hello.

Cancellation Policy

We try to be as fair as we can in our cancellation policy.  Our season is short, and the dogs eat year round.  However, our policy is very strict as we turn away hundreds of people each year that don't plan ahead.  Last minute cancellations or no-call/no-shows take away spots from other guests that would have loved to have gone in your place.  By making your reservation online or providing your credit card at the time of booking over the phone, you hereby acknowledge and agree to the following:

1 )  I understand that cancelling a tour or dropping the number of guests on the reservation must be done 8 days prior to the tour time.

​2)  I understand that due to the nature of the tours, the imperative need to stay on schedule, and for the safety of the dogs, if we show up late for our tour, we may not get to go on the tour and will not be entitled to a refund.  It is our responsibility to show up on time. If the roads are open, we are running.  It is your responsibility to take holiday traffic and weather conditions into consideration to make sure you arrive on time for your tour.

​3)  I understand that if I get lost because I chose to did not pay attention to directions while driving to the ranch, I will not be entitled to a refund of any kind.  I acknowledge that I need to follow the simple directions provided on the website.

4)  As general policy, NONE of the following excuses will entitle me to a refund inside of the cancellation period:

Someone in your party is sick or injured.

Too much traffic on the road caused you to be late.

You get lost navigating to our location.

You did not realize how far/long of a drive it was to get to us from your location.

The taxi or car service forgot to pick you up, or was too late.

You don't like the weather on the day of your ride.

Your car was plowed in and you couldn't get out of your driveway.

You drove your car off the road and got stuck.

You are cold and do not have enough layers. Or you forgot your jackets, boots, or snow pants.

​5)  I understand that there NO exceptions to the cancellation policy, regardless of the reason.  While Rancho Luna Lobos MAY make exceptions on a case by case basis due to legitimate extreme circumstances, I acknowledge that no promises are made by Rancho Luna Lobos and that I am not entitled to a refund. 

 We want you to go on your tour and have a great experience with the dogs.  If you miss your tour, we will allow you to reschedule pending availability.  However, if you miss your scheduled tour on December 29th, (for example), there will likely be nothing to reschedule to until possibly the 2nd week of January.  The full amount paid can be used on a future tour.

6)  I understand that reservations that are made when already within the cancellation policy period are non-refundable.

Nothing has been charged yet for your tour on our end other than the initial non refundable deposit. The remaining balance will charge when you check in for your excursion. Please ensure funds are available on the card provided. **No refunds will be provided after payments have been processed, regardless of tour participation or expectations. No refunds will be given for no shows, flight delays, or any other complications. It is the guest’s responsibility to make reservations and any changes with these conditions in mind and while also recognizing the agreement to our 7 day cancellation policy.*

By making a reservation with Rancho Luna Lobos, You understand that the DEPOSIT AND ANY PAYMENTS WILL BE NONREFUNDABLE regardless of cancellation by guest or by Rancho Luna Lobos. All sales are final, which is why you understand the company asks you not to pay the full balance until the day of the tour (if you do pay the full balance ahead of the tour date, there will be no refunds or prices changes regardless of tour changes/tour price deductions/or cancellation). You also understand that if you cancel my tour even before the cancelation policy period, you will not get my deposit back.

**Please note that if you are signed up for a dog sled experience or another snow adventure, there is a chance we may not have have enough snow or enough good snow to run a sled or to use snowshoes for snowshoe tours. With that in mind, IF we are able to do our dry land option (Dog Sled Safari, or pack walk), we will still get you out on a ride/tour either way. It will be your responsibility to cancel before our 7 day cancelation window if you wish not to proceed with the safari or pack walk. After that time, if we can get you out for a ride or pack walk, we will charge for the tour we can offer. We will adjust our pricing to reflect our safari or pack walk option. It will be your responsibility to check on trail conditions before the 7 day time period. We will only notify you of changes if we cannot get you out on any of our rides or tours due to weather or trail conditions, as which time we will not charge if we need to cancel. Our experiences are centered around a powerful presentation, and as such, we encourage all guests to participate even if they wish to cancel the ride/hike. Remember, it will be your responsibility to cancel your tour before 7 days if you wish to cancel entirely. Keep in mind, if there is not a foot of snow or more in town (Not on the ski hills, meaning actual streets around town), there is most likely not enough snow on our trails. Our tours are how we ensure the very best care and facilities for our amazing pack, and with this in mind, we do take great considerations when structuring our cancelation policies. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. We also thank you deeply for reserving a tour with our pack. We promise, if your heart and mind is open to the possibilities of “More Than Just A Ride”, you will be left with a lasting memory and deeply impactful experience with any of our tour options. - As detailed in the acknowledgment box when booking, the booking fee is NOT refundable.  This goes to the software company that built and maintains our online reservation program as well as covering the credit card transaction fees which are never refundable through Visa, Mastercard, etc, and is not ours to give back.
