What To Bring on an Overnight Sailboat Rental
(and what to avoid)
It’s hard to know what you’ll miss if you leave it behind. Most of the time chartering guests overpack; here’s some guidelines to help.
We provide sheets, blankets, pillows, bath towels, hand towels, paper towels, marine toilet paper and trash bags.
You’ll want to bring beach towels for swimming, along with any other water gear.
One or two fishing poles and lures for casting and trolling add to the fun - don’t forget to purchase your Florida saltwater fishing license (available at WalMart and Bass Pro).
A wind and rain proof jacket will provide comfort and warmth when the wind and rain pick up.
Please wear nonmarking (light colored sole) shoes
There are a few small inverters on each boat, but don’t plan to bring larger AC electrical appliances (crock pots, coffee makers, hair dryers and curlers will only work in the slip and will take up a lot of room)
12v DC cigarette lighter chargers will be your best method for topping up your phone
Upon Your Return - Checking In
At your journey’s end, your boat is due back at the marina by 5pm on your final day. This will give you plenty of time to disembark at the dock.
Plan to arrive at the fuel dock for our staff to meet you
If you chose the Express Check In option, our staff will handle fueling up and pumping out. If you’re ready you may disembark at the fuel dock.
Otherwise, plan to purchase fuel to fill the vessel and pump it out on arrival. The marina staff will assist you - please remember to tip them as a courtesy for their work
When checking back in, we ask that you:
Double check all personal items are packed - the fridge and cockpit lockers are common places things get left behind
Remove and discard all trash in the dockside bins
Gather used bedding in each berth - stuffing the sheets into a pillowcase is appreciated
Gather wet and damp towels into the head
Let our staff know of any issues you observed
