Dolphin & Wildlife Tour
Location
Folly River Boat Ramp 97 Center Street, Folly Beach
Description
See Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins, shore and wading birds and other native animals in their element as they feed and play along the marshes and beachfronts.
Your adventure will begin on the Folly River. From there we will take a cruise through the creeks surrounding Folly Island. You'll be treated to scenic views of the Lowcountry salt marsh while we search for the wildlife that inhabits the area. We'll see our resident Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins. We'll take time to get close of views of these incredible marine mammals. We will also encounter several different species of shore birds and wading birds along with a chance of seeing some birds of prey. Osprey and Bald Eagles are often spotted either perched in trees or diving from the sky for a quick meal. Other possible sightings include river otters, sea turtles, and deer. We'll make a brief stop at historic Morris Island for a little beachcombing before making our way back to the boat ramp.
