When you sign up for your Discover Scuba Diving Experience, all we ask is a deposit of $10.00 to secure your space, and the balance is due at the start of your course.
Have you ever wondered what it's like to breathe underwater? Discover Scuba will let you try scuba to see if you like it. If you are not quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is for you.
Our Discover Scuba Experience is more than just a short introduction to scuba diving. You will start with a short eLearning program. This eLearning portion will teach you about some dive theory and essential dive skills. You can begin your Discover Scuba Diving eLearning by clicking the link below.
Begin your Discover Scuba Diving eLearning.
This link will redirect you to the web-based learning on PADI.Com. You will be asked to create a User Account, and once you have completed this step, you will be able to complete the required learning and necessary paperwork. Each participant must complete this step using their unique email address.
Once you arrive in Cozumel, your instructor will answer any questions you may have and then fit you into your scuba equipment. We will then head to the beach and prepare you to practice some skills you will use every time you go diving. When you are comfortable, you will begin your dive!
Cozumel Dive Academy offers this experience daily in the crystal clear shallow waters right off our beach with one of our experienced and patient PADI Instructors. While not an actual scuba certification, during your Discover Scuba Diving experience, you'll learn how to use scuba equipment while enjoying a quick and easy introduction to what it is like to explore the underwater world.

- Go over the scuba equipment you use to dive and how easy it is to move around underwater with your gear.
- Find out what it's like to breathe underwater.
- Learn key skills that you'll use during every scuba dive.
- Explore our house reef as you complete an open water dive.
What is Included
The following is included in your Discover Scuba Diving Experience:
- PADI Discover Scuba Diving eLearning
- All required equipment, but if you have your mask, fins, and snorkel, please feel free to bring them.
Once you have signed up for your Discover Scuba Diving Experience, please follow the Begin your Discover Scuba Diving eLearning link to be directed to PADI.Com, where you can complete a short eLearning program and complete all the required forms digitally.
Included in Your Discover Scuba Diving Experience:
- PADI Discover Scuba Diving eLearning
- All required equipment (feel free to bring your own mask, fins, and snorkel if you have them)
After signing up, you’ll receive a Welcome email with a link to create your PADI eLearning account. This allows you to begin the short eLearning program and complete all required forms digitally before your arrival.
Prerequisites
Be at least ten years old.
Complete a PADI Medical Statement. If you answer "yes" to any of the questions, you must obtain a physician's approval before participating in any in-water activities.
If you have a "YES" answer to any questions, please download and print the form included in your digital forms accompanying your eLearning and have your local physician complete it.
Default Cancellation Policy
Cancellations before 48 HOURS of your excursion date, get a full 100% refund. Cancellations at a minimum of 24 HOURS get a 50% refund. If you no show, there is NO refund.
ALL deposits and bookings will be 100% refundable if the weather does not allow us to go out.
