Description

This sanctuary is located in the town of Akumal, it is a refuge for specimens of wild and exotic fauna affected by anthropogenic factors. Committed to generating environmental awareness and wildlife conservation among visitors. You will meet different species of monkeys, macaws, fallow deer, lemurs and snakes, in addition to educational interaction with some of these species, a visit of approximately 2 hours. After this we will visit Xcacel beach, a beautiful beach that between the months of May and October houses a turtle sanctuary.

It is a space created with the purpose of housing various species of wild fauna or fauna in the process of domestication, regardless of their origin, that is, without making a distinction between native or introduced species. Generally, they are specimens that have been affected mainly by human actions or natural phenomena that negatively influence the environment, preventing in most cases their reintroduction to their natural environment and consequently, remaining under human care for life. Currently, more than 200 specimens of 55 different species have been rescued.
