Duration

Come along on our abbreviated tour of Boston's Freedom Trail, and learn about icons like Paul Revere and John Hancock, along with lesser-known stories of women, African Americans, and immigrant patriots and pioneers.

Rebels, gangs, Midnight Riders (and a few cheap dad jokes) all feature in the tales on this tour. Tour goers will leave with an understanding of Boston's role in the American Revolution, but also how Boston has pioneered abolition, American education, and immigration. It all happened at these famous sites along the iconic red brick line.

This highly interactive tour will begin behind the Robert Gould Shaw Memorial, just inside the Boston Common, and conclude in front of the iconic Faneuil Hall.

Along the way you'll experience the explosive events of the American Revolution like the Boston Tea Party and the Boston Massacre in the places they happened. Be sure to bring your best questions for our veteran guides!

Tours meet just inside the Boston Common, behind the Robert Gould Shaw Memorial, located at the corner of Park and Beacon Streets.

Booking Notes

This is a walking tour of medium length, please bring comfortable shoes, seasonally appropriate clothes, and a bottle of water. This tour will view the exteriors of all 16 official Freedom Trail sites, but does not include or have built-in time for interior site visits. We highly encourage visiting the interior of sites, just plan those visits for after the tour! Each site may require a separate entrance fee.

Using the restroom before the tour is encouraged. Public restrooms are not abundant and don't always smell great. But we can show you to one if needed.

Meeting Location: Tours meet just inside the Boston Common, behind the Robert Gould Shaw Memorial, located at the corner of Park and Beacon Streets.

—We strongly recommend taking public transportation as parking is neither cheap, easy, nor convenient downtown.
